This project is part of the 2016 Community Resilience Challenge, a community mobilization campaign created by Daily Acts that inspires thousands of citizens, leaders and groups to take action to save water, grow food, conserve energy, reduce waste and build community. Learn more. We are also partnering with FEED Sonoma to help coordinate distribution between beginning farmers and participating food businesses throughout the Bay Area and North Coast.
A project of the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, in partnership with many local and regional organizations, the Year of the Entrepreneur is a bold proposal to broadly engage local entrepreneurs and business owners while promoting Sonoma County as THE PLACE TO BE for people who think beyond traditional boundaries and envision new solutions to complex problems.
Another great local resource to finding beginning farms is the Capay Valley Farm Shop, a collaborative of family farms offering fresh, local seasonal foods from Yolo County, delivering around the Bay Area. Ask them about participating in our Fresh Farmer Feature! |
