The new agrarian movement is a diverse, dynamic and integrated web of individual farmers, local businesses and anyone committed to good food, healthy land, and a strong local economy. Sound like you? Join us!

The Friends of Farmers come from all walks of life. They are carpenters, teachers, journalists, Grange members, grocery store check-out clerks and children looking to reconnect with the source of their food in a deep, fun and inspiring way. There's no commitment to be a Friend, except to engage with your food, community and local farms in a meaningful way. The Farmers Guild works to cultivate a home for those working in local agriculture, but we also believe that a healthy and robust food system is founded upon real relationships between agriculture and those who depend upon it: you, me and everyone we know.

Throughout the year, The Farmers Guild hosts wildly-popular events where hundreds gather to savor our local bounty, meet fellow food and farm-lovers, and learn about the challenges as well as opportunities facing agriculture today. By becoming a Friend, you'll find out how you can support the newest generation of farmers, from joining a local CSA to leasing your backyard to a budding young farmer, attending a Farmers Guild barn party or offering your own professional expertise to aspiring farmers who need more than just a green-thumb to find success. Some Friends live right next door to their farmer, others live in the middle of the city but yearn to connect with the land and people from which their food comes. Simply join our mailing list and tap into this fun and inspiring community working to build a more sustainable future for us all.
