WHAT IS CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE
Farmers on the frontlines in our fight against climate change
When most people folks think about climate resilience, what first comes to mind are solar panels and electric cars. But out on our farms and ranches, another vital tool is being used to not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but to also sequester them back into the ground: soil!

Like energy and transportation (which get most of the attention), agriculture is key to our climate future. Farms contribute to greenhouse gas emissions while at the same time suffering the consequences: drought, rising temperatures, erratic weather. But did you know that some farmers are also working to fight against climate change? Come learn what climate-smart agriculture is all about, from real-world practices that sequester carbon back into the ground where it belongs to advocating for climate smart policy changes.
